"Male ribice" performed at Jelenje
People of Rijeka suburban district Jelenje celebrated their day on Septermber 22, the day of their patron St. Michael. The main event of the celebration was the traditional folk dance recital "Zatancajmo po domaæi" (Let's dance like the locals). About a dozen of folk dance groups from all over Croatia participated in this year's young dancers reunion. They also went to the holy mass held at St. Michael's church.
One of the groups performing at this event was the children's dance group of Czech Beseda Rijeka "Male ribice." The young dancers came to Czech Home on Hosti to pick up their beautiful costumes. As they were leaving with their teachers Vladimira Marinkovic and Snjezana Husak, we could see excitement, impatience, some stage freight but also a huge will to perform on their little faces.
The performance went great and the little dancers received a big applause. They met many other dancers from other groups and found new friends among them.
