Czech Beseda Rijeka at the 11th Ethno-review
The Czech Beseda Rijeka dance group "Riječke Ribice" danced three dances at Saturday's folk dance review on Korzo. Their performance was excellent, capturing interest of the numerous crowd and tourists who used this beautiful fall day to come to Korzo and watch the folk dances. As always, "Ribice" were beautiful and cheerful, and their performance was outstanding. Numerous tourists noticed the traditional Czech costumes and wanted to take a photo with the group and find out more about the activities of Czech Beseda Rijeka.
As a part of the Croatian Music Union project envisioned by singer Alen Polić, two singers from Czech Beseda Rijeka, Marija Dmejhal and Ruža Marić, also took part in the program. The song mix accompanied by well-known musicians from Rijeka was very interesting for the audience. Parts of a Croatian song performed by Alen Polić and a female singer mixed with the chorus of Czech song "Nikdy se nevrátí pohádka mládí" sung by our singers.
A special three-hour program, a part of Ethno-review, was the festival of 19 Czech singing choirs with almost 400 singers – Krajanské zpěvánky, organized by Czech Union in Croatia and Czech Beseda Rijeka.
