From May 27 until June 2, 2007, singing choir Czech Song from Prachatice in Czech Republic visited Rijeka. They were guests of oratorial choir Ivan Matetić Ronjgov from Rijeka. These two choirs performed together at the 5th international singing choirs meeting.

On Saturday, June 2nd, the choirs sang together in Memorial home in Ronjgi. A large audience gathered to hear Czech and Croatian songs based on traditional music of both nations. Both concerts were at a very high level, performances were excellent and the listening experience unforgettable, although the rain surprised everyone and prevented the concert from being held in open air.
Singing choir Česká Píseň Prachatice was founded in 1985 as a women's choir, but since 1988 it is a mixed choir. Their repertoire is very wide and diverse: Czech folk songs, spiritual and classical pieces of Czech and other authors, etc. The choir cooperates with the Pošumavska Chamber Philharmonic orchestra. Since 1989 the choir performed in many European countries (Italy, Netherlands, France, England, Belgium, Slovakia, Croatia) and befriended other choirs, among others the Ivan Matetić Ronjgov choir of Rijeka.
Members of Czech Beseda Rijeka met with members of the choir from Prachatice and helped the conductor and members of the Rijeka choir to organize the visit of Prachatice choir. On Thursday evening (May 29), singers from Prachatice visited Czech Beseda Rijeka members in the unfinished building of Czech Home. The Czech people of Rijeka welcomed their guests and informed them about their activities and the construction of the Czech Culture Center in Rijeka. The Prachatice choir sang a few songs for their new friends, expressing their delight by the acoustic of the new Home.
