Ethno-review, the Days of National Minorities, organized by the City of Rijeka, took place on September 29 through October 1, for the tenth time. It opened on Friday, September 29, in the city hall with the conference "Minority culture in a multiethnic society." The conference was co-organized by the OESS, motivated by entry of Croatia into the Protection and promotion of cultural diversity convention.

Mr. Vojko Obersnel, the mayor of Rijeka, said on this occasion that tolerance and understanding, propagated by the Convention, have already been alive in Rijeka for many years. "Exactly that is our greatest treasure," said the mayor. After the conference, mayor organized a reception where he stressed the importance of the Ethno-review and said: "I can already promise that we will allocate even more funds from the city budget to the needs of national minorities next year. Hopefully we will be able to finish the construction of the Czech Home."

At 10 o'clock the same day, three exhibitions presenting a portion of achievements of national minorities opened. After that, an art painting exhibition opened in "Kortil" gallery, featuring two artists from Czech Beseda Rijeka: Vedrana Valenčić and Minja Muhvić. On an improvised outdoor stage, dancers, singers and musicians from thirteen minority groups from Rijeka and their guests from Poland and Slovenia gave a performance. Dancing group "Riječke Ribice" represented Czech Beseda Rijeka, who danced three numbers and got a warm applause from a captivated audience.

The Ethno-review ended on Sunday with the traditional chess tournament, a selection from drama program of the Roma people of Rijeka, and the Croatian opening of Danis Tanović's film "The Hell" ("Pakao").
