Annual assembly of the Czech Union in Croatia
Annual assembly of the Czech Union in Croatia was held on July 2, in the meeting room of Czech Home in Daruvar. Ms. Leonora Janota was reelected for President, successfully holding the office for 17 years.
Three delegates from Czech Beseda Rijeka were at the assembly: Franciska Husák, Antun Řehák, and Dobrila Řehák. Mr. Řehák was a member of the assembly’s working presidency. Ms. Husák was reelected to the Union Presidency.
Ms. Husák contributed to the assembly discussing the activities of the Czech Beseda Rijeka, mostly finalizing the first phase of the construction of Czech Culture Center in Rijeka. She thanked all the Besedas that gave their contributions for the building, and invited everyone present and all Czech singing groups from Croatia to participate in the Czech Song Festival in Rijeka (on October 15). The collective dinner and party after the program is planned in the new Czech home in Rijeka.
