Puppet theatre
Puppet theatre has been active since the year 2001. Until now, they have prepared and rehearsed three puppet plays, which they presented in Croatia and in the Czech Republic.
The first play was the "Little Red Riding Hood". The next was the story "About a wise princess," that was presented in 2002 on the first festival of Czech puppet theatres in Slavonski Brod. The same play was later shown in Treglava and Virovitica, as well as in four kindergartens in Rijeka, Retirement home Kantrida, and HKD Theatre in Sušak. The third puppet show, the story of Hansel and Gretel, was written by Vaclav Renč, and it was shown in Rijeka, Gornji Daruvar, and Končanica. A new play, "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs", is now being prepared.
The scenographer is Vedrana Valenčić. Marinko Valenčić is in charge of sound and light effects. Mirta Dvorny makes costumes for the puppets. This amateur theatre owns 24 puppets, and some of them can wear different outfits for different shows. There are three different scenographies for each show.
The leader of the group is Vedrana Valenčić. Ms. Zdena Steckerová from te Czech Republic chooses the texts and takes care of choreographies.
